Hey guys! It's me! Just wanted to give everybody a heads up about an artist on this site. JOHN PINKERTON....aka PINKERTON FX. He is a disrespectful person and has pissed of many a people in his short time as a dollmaker. I just wanted to warn you guys about him and make sure you don't fall for his scam. I know what you guys may be thinking, I was his friend on here! And I know, I was, which is one of the main reasons I am pissed off right now. John is an AMAZING dollmaker, absolutely one of the most talented people I've ever come across. However he has disappointed me beyond belief. I suggested his work to my boyfriend, just to check him out. And it ended up that my boyfriend ordered one of his dolls online in June of last year. The BEGINNING of June. He ordered it as a birthday present for me. My birthday is in August, and Pinkerton said that the doll would only take up to 8 weeks to make so we were pretty stoked about getting the doll. however, the weeks passed, my birthday passed, months passed after my birthday and STILL no doll. We had written John on countless occasions and finally when he got back to us he said he was having family problems and it was going to take a little longer. We were very patient and said that was no problem. He didnt respond to our emails for a long time after that, and so we got a bit suspicious. We went searching and found a bunch of blogs saying how he scams people, and found tha the had been feeding the same excuses to other people. And that the way he gets payment for his dolls (via paypal) can be used as a way to help him con people. Because there is only a certain amount of time after the purchase you make to get your money back, and he makes excuses until after that time. It ended up with a few months ago him FINALLY emailing my boyfriend back and saying he was going to, within the week, take a picture of the progress of the doll and send it off. This never happened. So we kept emailing him asking him when he is going to send it and if he cant then to just give us our money back, which we had been asking since the beginning. We are a young couple and need any money we have. And for him to take that 65 bucks from our pocket pisses me off. This is groceries for a week. This is disrespectful. We went out of our way to support him and his buisness and he fucked us over. He has now stopped emailing us completely, is ignoring both of us and deletes my comments off of his profile on dA. There have been people ON HERE, on dA that have written me and asked me if he has screwed me over TOO. This means that he has fucked other people over on dA. So I just wanted to send a warning out and let everyone know that while he is a talented artist he is not a respectful man and he is definetly not a person you want to do buisness with.

John, if you are reading this, grow the hell up and give us our money back or send us the freaking doll. I am filing a complaint against you and I hope you smarten up and start respecting your friends and fans.

I apologise to all who might have taken this as a personal attack on John. He is a very talented man, who appears to be going through some hard times, and he probably does in fact need the support of his family, friends, and fans now more than ever. This journal I posted expresses only my personal experience with John. On my own time I found out more that lead me to believe certain things. I would love to be wrong about the conclusions I made...and from what John says, I am wrong. I was treated unfairly, and John has now sent us a refund cheque. So I thank him for that. Words I used such as scam artist and being ripped off were things I said based on my experience and conclusions I made of things I heard from other people. If you are a fan of Johns and are looking to buy his works, by all means, that is a choice to be made on your own...recieving one of his gorgeously grotesque dolls must be a fantastic experience that I wish I had the opportunity to experience myself. I wish you all the best with your hardships John, I truly hope all goes in your favor and you get that big mess sorted out. I also wish you the best of luck with your future dollmaking. You are a very talented man and I never for one second lost admiration for that talent....
